Mellow Wayne

Mr. Wayne Chambers a.k.a. Mellow Wayne is a native of Jamaica. He was born and raised in Westmoreland and migrated to New York in the late 1980s. Mellow Wayne is a very independent and talented individual. He works as a reggae and gospel artist performing live concerts and is self employed as a contractor.

Mellow Wayne is an intense God fearing servant. He spends most of his time talking about the strength of the Lord. He is the most loyal artist his producer claims has ever met. His dedication to the Lord is accompanied by his active involvement in two churches and his zeal to sing to the church congregation every Sunday. Wayne has a great sense of humor and his love for people is very strong and he usually says he loves God, and people without a limit and no one can do anything to make him hate. Obviously there is no room for hate or ungodly behavior in his heart.

Mellow Wayne is gifted with a very soothing and strong voice and has a great ability to play with pitches and notes. His awesome performer as a Deejay/rapper could be seen by his performance of the song ‘On The mountain’ (track #5 on the album). Mellow Wayne is the most diversified gospel and reggae artist. Mellow Wayne’s emphasis on melody, his awesome and soothing voice, his elegant and flashy jewelry and clothing and his amazing Jamaican style dancing captivates the attention and wins the admiration of his audience. He sang very emotionally at a church one time the whole congregation including myself were in tears. His voice brings chills to his audience and his ability to change his voice is outstanding. Mellow Wayne is not a materialistic individual. He places music as his highest priority in life and is working hard to achieve success in his carrier.

The ‘Life Journey album’ was nominated as the number one Caribbean gospel Album of the year 2006 by the Hopeton Lewis Caribbean Gospel award festival. The album has received a remarkable response from the public and is selling at a very good rate in record stores in the United States and Europe.

The Songs were all written and composed by Mellow Wayne and John Quansah a.k.a. JohnQ. Who is the producer of the album and artist.

The album was written out of pain and the loss of our dear brother and best friend the late Gersham Nembhard a.k.a. Gary who was a guitar teacher to JohnQ and a music instructor to Mellow Wayne.

Garry died untimely in a tragic car accident. Then illness of the spiritual counselor for JohnQ production was Rev. Juliana Sackey who happens to be the mother of JohnQ was also a motivating factor in the writing and composition of this album. The album was motivated by real sad events and we had to make sense out of these sad events. Rev. Juliana Sackey also died briefly. Mellow Wayne and JohnQ have stood firm together and are determined to see success. This is the hottest gospel album ever produced and it is the most diversified album ever produced likewise.

A combination of R&B , Soca and reggae gospel with great live instrumental skill and great studio engineering and guidance by Ed Robinson. The purpose of the album was to create quality music to glorify the Lord’s name, making sense of the purpose of life and getting closer to the Lord.
